The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

About the Route

The Yorkshire Three Peaks is one of the UK's most iconic walking challenges — a circular route through the stunning limestone scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Taking in three of Yorkshire's most famous summits, the route covers approximately 24 miles and around 1,585 metres of ascent.

The challenge traditionally starts and finishes in the village of Horton-in-Ribblesdale, taking walkers across open moorland, ancient packhorse trails and dramatic ridgelines with breathtaking views across the Dales.

Whether you're an experienced hiker or taking on your first big walking challenge, this is a day you'll never forget — made even more special by the cause you're walking for.

The Three Peaks

Pen-y-Ghent

694m

The first peak of the challenge. A dramatic ascent with a distinctive stepped profile, offering sweeping views across the Ribble Valley.

Whernside

736m

Yorkshire's highest peak. A long ridge walk with stunning views over Ribblehead Viaduct and the surrounding moorland.

Ingleborough

723m

The final and most iconic summit — a vast flat-topped plateau with panoramic views stretching to the Lake District on a clear day.

In Memory of Demi Day

This year's Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is dedicated to the memory of Demi Day, whose 29th birthday would have been on 11th August — just three days after the challenge.

Demi was a beloved member of our community and her memory continues to inspire everything we do at Miles For Men. Every step taken on 8th August will be a step taken in her honour.

Together, we can honour Demi's memory and continue kicking cancer together.
